You will be assessed as to the quantity rather than the quality of your participation. This does not mean, however, that 'me too' responses are appropriate or indeed even counted. This class is an online post-graduate seminar and you are expected to complete the readings and to participate in the class discussion.

If you need server space you need to tell me early in the semester so that I can set up up an account on the server for you. If you waint until the last minute to request server space and the account cannot be created in time for your submission will result in you failing this assignment.

Assessment will focus on how well you and your partners have researched the topic as well as how well you have worked together to integrate the information that you have gathered individually into a seamless whole.

We should not be able to tell which one of you did what part of the work. This is a team effort.

Design considerations should focus on displaying and ordering information into a logical structure. Even though this website is a 'page of links' you need to make it more informative than just a 'bookmarks' page.

This is just what it says... a personal essay.. a reflective essay. It should document and reflect on the different methods you've used for communicating and learning in this, Digital Culture, module.

Staffordshire University students: your Personal Essay must be snail posted to me or turned into the Arts, Media and Design office (do not turn it into the School of Computing or any other school on campus) personally.

If you turn it in personally you will complete an assignment receipt and it will be date stamped by the Office who will give you a copy of the receipt. KEEP IT!

Don't trust someone to turn it in for you.

I am not responsible for an assignment not getting turned in on time because you gave it to a friend, a loved one, another lecturer, etc... and that person fails to submit it by the due date.

I strongly suggest that if you snail mail these you do so registered mail (or whatever it is called in the UK).That way you have a receipt that you put it (or something) in the mail by the due date.

When the office receives the envelope they will have to sign for it... and you should get a receipt from the Post Office that the envelope was delivered.

If you decide NOT to send your work in via registered mail you are taking a chance that in the event it is lost in the mail you have no proof that you turned in the assignment on time.
